Charlotte Seiffert
Résumé
Charlotte graduated with a degree in biochemistry from the Georg-August-University Göttingen in 2018. She conducted her bachelor's thesis in the lab of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Braus investigating the role of alpha-synuclein in Parkinson’s Disease. Following the temptation of studying at home in Berlin, Charlotte enrolled in the Master programme biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin. In the course of a very research oriented graduate programme, Charlotte got hands on experience with the CRISPR-Cas9 system in the lab of Dr. Edda Schulz at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics followed by a short intern with Dr. Stefan Kubick at Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology to learn about the advantages of cell-free protein expression in antibody-drug conjugate production. Charlotte then joined the Arosio lab for the first time in late 2020 to work on self-assembly behavior and characterization of molecular determinants of hnRNPA1. After a short leave to finalise her master project on ADC development for glioblastoma therapy at the Charité, Berlin, in the group of Prof Dr Hendrik Fuchs, Charlotte started her PhD project in the Arosio lab in 2021.
