Résumé
Kasia was born in Łódź, Poland. She carried out her undergraduate studies in her hometown at Lodz University of Technology and received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degree in Nanotechnology in 2016 and 2017, respectively. She carried out both the bachelor and master projects at the Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry working on synthesis of polymeric nanoparticles and nanogels using ionizing radiation. During her master studies, she did a one semester research project at University of Palermo in Sicily, which turned out to be more of a cultural than scientific experience. In January 2018, she started her PhD at the Division of Physical Chemistry at Lund University in Sweden with Emma Sparr and Sara Linse as supervisors. During her PhD, Kasia studied interactions of a presynaptic protein, alpha-synuclein, with lipid membranes. In April 2022, she defended her PhD thesis, enjoyed a few months of wonderful vacation and in July 2022 joined the group of Paolo Arosio to study the process of protein liquid liquid phase separation with a focus on characterising the rheological properties of protein droplets.
