Isabel Waibel
Résumé
Isabel Waibel received her B.Sc. in chemical and process engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2019. Subsequently, she studied a semester abroad at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where she focused on molecular thermodynamics. She then continued with her M.Sc. in chemical and process engineering at KIT in 2020.
During her studies, she was an active member and group leader in the student organization Engineers Without Borders. In 2021, she completed a five-month internship at Evonik, where she developed and implemented a smart DoE algorithm. Additionally, she worked part-time as a student employee at a biopharmaceutical consulting company.
For her master's thesis, she joined Prof. Lahann's lab at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she worked on protein nanoparticles for cancer treatment.
After graduating from KIT with honors, she started her Ph.D. studies in the lab of Prof. Arosio in 2023.
