Roberto Frigerio
Résumé
Roberto obtained his Master's degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Milano in 2019, with a thesis focused on the synthesis of non-natural amino acids. In July 2019, he joined SCITEC-CNR as a research fellow in Marina Cretich's group, where he specialized in studying Extracellular Vesicles (EVs), particularly in developing methods for their isolation and analysis.
In September 2021, Roberto began his PhD in Precision Medicine at the University of Brescia under the supervision of Paolo Bergese. During his PhD, he developed a peptide probe for EVs integrated into a digital analytical platform, enabling single-vesicle analysis. As part of his doctoral studies, Roberto conducted a research visit at ETH Zurich in Arosio's group, where he worked on integrating EV peptide probes with zwitterionic polymers for EV isolation and analysis.
In November 2024, Roberto rejoined Professor Arosio's group as a research assistant to further explore the use of zwitterionic polymers for EV isolation and analysis, with a focus on diagnostic applications.
