Résumé

Jacopo Cardellini received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Florence in 2017 and graduated with a M.Sc. degree in Physical Chemistry in 2019. He then started his Ph.D. thesis at the same institution. His thesis focused on studying the interaction of synthetic and natural lipid membranes with inorganic nanoparticles with the aim of both improving the fundamental knowledge of the events occurring at nano-bio interfaces and designing novel approaches for the preparation of multicomponent organic-inorganic hybrid materials. During the last months of his Ph.D. Jacopo focused his attention on coating inorganic nanoparticles with the membranes of lipid vesicles to enhance their biocompatibility. In March 2023, Jacopo defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled ‘The nano-bio interface as a platform for technological applications” under the supervision of Prof. Debora Berti.
In June 2023, Jacopo joined Prof. Arosio’s group as a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the formation of extracellular vesicles-inorganic nanoparticles hybrid materials for biomedical applications.
