Résumé

Suiying received her Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering from South China University of Technology. She then relocated to Switzerland and completed her Master’s degree in Materials Science at ETH Zurich. During her studies, she gained hands-on experience across different material types, ranging from metal nanowires, inorganic nanomaterials, to multifunctional composites. Her Master’s thesis, conducted at IBM Research – Zurich, focused on anisotropic magnetic composite for high-efficiency inductor core.
Following an internship experience at ABB Corporate Research, Suiying started her doctoral studies at the Drug Formulation & Delivery group at ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jean-Christophe Leroux and Dr. Yinyin Bao. Her research focused on developing a synthetic methodology to modulate molecular fluorescence through organic synthesis and polymerization techniques. She also investigated the molecular charge transfer interactions using quantum chemical calculations, molecular simulations, and machine learnings through collaborations. Additionally, she looked into the utilization of polymeric nano-assemblies in cell imaging and explored enzyme-assisted drug delivery systems.
In 2023, Suiying joined Prof. Dr. Paolo Arosio’s group as a postdoctoral researcher, delving into investigations of programmable polymeric coacervates and exploring their applications in various areas.
